I have a single analog cable feed that I need to split to four components: 1) Sony KV-36XBR400 (36" Direct View Tube) 2) S-VHS VCR 3) VHS VCR 4) 8MM VCR As a temporary (and incomplete) solution, I have a $5 Walmart "1 to 3" splitter in place. (My 8MM VCR is not hooked up.) What type of splitter should I look for to ensure a decent signal to each component? I noticed that Monster offers "High Performance" splitters but I am not sure what to make of them. What about amplified splitters? Any recommendations or perhaps real world experiences to relate? Thanks! Bob

I have much better signal with an amplified splitter than a regular one. I'm using Electroline EDA 2400 (1 to 4). You can find it on ebay at a very affordable price. Dan

You might be able to get away with one split less if you run the cable to your S-VHS and then to the TV from the S-VHS.

Thanks rogo, Would that be better than the $30 Monster cable 4 way splitter? Monster sells a $20 basic 4 way splitter and a better one for $30. The one I've been looking at is described as: Monster Standard™ 2 GHz Low-Loss RF Splitters TGHZ-4RF I'm a little bit leary of Monster since I have the impression that they overprice stuff. Bob

Just make sure its not a 900Mhz type, those are still way to common in the digital age IMO
