Hi,
I am somewhat inexperienced when it comes to home theater setup and I am a little confused on how to run the audio signal from a coaxial cable through the receiver.

I figured there would be some RCA audio outs on the Samsung plasma, however the only audio outputs I can find are the speaker outputs. Am I missing an obvious solution? or Is there a way to convert the speaker outs to RCA?

Thanks for any feedback.

Ron as Neil asked, could you supply a bit more information.

For example I’m confused with your use of coax—are you talking about the coax from an antenna, a cable box or a satellite receiver?

And does that run directly into your Samsung plasma? I would have supposed that you were connecting up your plasma via component connections, but that does not seem to be the case.

A little more info please.

As of now I am restricted to using the coax input on the Samsung for my cable tv signal.

There are no RCA audio outs on the Samsung tv, only two square shaped speaker outputs.

There is no Coax input/output on the home theater receiver.

How can I run the cable tv audio through my home theater receiver?

Thanks again for your help.

Ron
