I posted this in the speaker forum, but thought I would ask here as well..

My current setup is a Pioneer VSXD912K with JBL SCS150SI-- 5.1 setup..

I am new to the HT world, so bare with me

I am wanting a little more out of my current center speaker and would like to run a 6.1 setup.. I am looking at JBL's S-Center II to replace my current center speaker. I would then use the old SCS150 center as my rear center.. a few questions:

Will the S-Center II gel well with the rest of the setup?

Will it be too overwhelming for the front left and rights?

Will my the new center work well with my current receiver? (it currently puts out 110w/channel)

Thanks a ton!

The S-Center II won't overwhelm your other speakers if you calibrate it right with an SPL meter, or at least by ear. It will work fine with the receiver. Are you planning on replacing all of the speakers in time? the center channel is a good place to start.

Well, it'll be a while before I start changing out the other speakers... I really just bought this setup (and it sounds great!) but I wanted a stronger center and 6.1.
