OK I was watching this film on the Criterion dvd with commentary. One thing struck me, why isn't the character of Scichiroji ( The one with the round face and belly ) introduced like all the other samurai?
There isn't a thing mentioned about on the commentary?
They look for all the other samurai, be he is just suddenly there?
Is this the friend that Kambei talks about?
I seen this quite a lot of times, but I never noticed that before?
He is also missing from the cover??
