A while ago I had my two receivers connected allowing me to use one for the main listening area and the other to operate at the same time which pumped audio to a different part of the house. I did not pay atention to the connection that was made. I still have the Y adapters that the salesman sold me in order to do this. AGH! Any help out there? I posted in the tweaks, connection area without luck. There's got to be someone out there who knows how to help me, please?

There are a couple of ways to do this. One is to connect the second receiver to the first’s pre amp outputs. However, with this scheme, the volume at the secondary location changes anytime you adjust the volume at the primary location.

A better way is to connect the second receiver to the record out jacks of the first (i.e., a tape monitor loop or VCR loop). The signal from any selected source will be sent to the record out jacks, and it is a fixed-level signal. So the two receivers will have independent volume control.
