80.5 but I knew some of the songs I just messed up on the lyrics... One of those quizs where once you see the answers, you're like "d'oh, I knew that!" [IMG]

    125.5

Same boat as Jay, though. I felt like an idiot when I saw a couple of the answers. For some reason my brain just wasn't able to place some of the songs based only on the single lyric.

I only got 67 point something... I'm disappointed. I knew most of them too... I guess not enough. Sometimes it's hard to place the song by the single lyric.

Wow, I knew most of these songs but still only got a 40.5. I even missed the one Whitesnake reference, and I knew that song very, very well.

I had a buddy who's 25 try it and he said he got a -9. Ouch. Im impressed with Scott's 125.5. Truly a child of the 80's. [IMG]

There were some that I if I just could've been able to hum the tune, I would have got it, but ended up slapping my forehead when I saw the answer.

It seems like the scores aren't necessarily relevant to how many you answer correctly. Some questions score higher than others. And -9, how can you score negative? Maybe it deducts points in some cases? I'll have to try it again when I'm not in my high-distraction cubicle...

95.5 here. And I didn't guess on any; either I knew it or left it blank. I probably could have earned another ten points with guesses. Oh well, still a child of the 80's...

I scrolled down and saw that there were over 100 of them and said "screw it".

    I can't go for that
    No can do

Yes, negative scores are possible (don't select your age from the pull-down menu).

At the top he says he found it hard to name artists/title, but for me it was exactly opposite. I'd know the lyric and automatically know the artist. The entire lyric was what stalled me.

    Missed the following:

#7 (never listened to their stuff)
    #17 (shocked I missed this)
#26 (again, surprised to miss this)
#32 (err, still needing help on this one)
#38 (not sure about this one either)
#60 (went into total brainfreeze on this one; IOW - duh.)
#73 (actually haven't heard this is a long time; should've know it though)
    #81 (heh, so I'm a perv [IMG] )
    #83 (actually I didn't miss it but 10 points?)
    #91 (still haven't place it)
#94 (doh! went with the inital reaction, read all the lyrics next time)
#95 (I'm so ashamed. This band is just about all I listened to for the last year or so of high school)

Got all the bonuses plus "You grew up to this. No Bonus. No penalty."

My final score: 154.5! [IMG] (ok so I'm an 80s music nut)

    I'm an 80's NUT! I'm 31 and usually good with lyrics, and I got a 44.5!!!!

WTF? I love U2, and I MISSED every U2 reference. Missed the Metallica, Peter Gabriel, GnR, and I still listen to all these regularly!!

As a child of the 80's I should be ashamed, very ashamed.
