Grumpy? I just asked a question. I've never heard of this idea, so that's why I asked.

What is wrong with people? Why the negativity here?

That is my wife's song too, She thought it was cool because she loves The Stones but I showed her the title of this thread and she said that she is pretty satisfied most of the time:D

Mine is Lorne Green talking his way through the legend of some cowboy outlaw named Ringo, not my bag but he does have a great speaking voice.

Come Together, very nice.

Here are mine:

US - Baby Don’t Get Hooked On Me - Mac Davis

AUS - Rock And Roll Pt 2 / Pt 1 - Gary Glitter

UK - How Can I Be Sure - David Cassidy

I don't put a lot of stock in this, but it is interesting and certainly would explain a lot.

My friend's were great. In Australia, it was "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Presumably, his mother speaking. In England, it was Slade's "Take Me Back 'Om." That was him. ;)

I don't think this is a "real" superstition. I just think it is just a way to add a little fun and pizzazz to your basic "this day in history" site.

I'll play.

Venus - Frankie Avalon. Guess I could have done worse...but I hate most '50s music. I would have loved something by Sinatra.

The day the dog in my sig was born:

I'll Be Missing You - Puff Daddy and Faith Evans

Holy hell. She has terminal cancer. Isn't that strange?

I'm shocked so many people haven't heard of the songs that come up. Some great tunes. I hope you'll all pull them up on youtube. I have the karaoke of Let's just kiss...it requires a low pitch and high pitch and I like to do them both.

Are you sure? You ought to rectify the situation. It's a classic, and a pretty one.

Mine were: "My Love" by Wings in America and "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" by Tony Orlando in Australia. Don't know the British song.
