I missed your post first go around. That's an attractive bundle. Unfortunately I'm not ready to buy a new system yet. But the system, two controllers, two top games for $330 is nice.LeoAmes said:This bundle is $329.

In Canada, a lot higher. Playstation4 with one game (Second Son) and one controller is 469.00. Everything else would be extra. A second controller would be 60 bucks and a second controller is pretty well mandatory if a person likes long gaming sessions. The 4 hour battery limit on PS4 controllers is a negative. They did update the software to allow a person to dim the power draining light on the controller but the savings are minimal.DaveF said:For comparison, what's the price of a PS4 with 2 controllers and two games?

PGR 4 looks and plays better. A massive shame that Bizarre Creations (also responsible for the Geometry Wars franchise) broke up... Dirty tricks & journalistic aptitude aside, I like Gamespot for its size and features. It's also my go-to for E3 streams - never had any major lag there.LeoAmes said:Especially when I can fire up something like Project Gotham Racing 3, a 2005 Xbox 360 launch title, and still see a very pretty game that doesn't look its age at all. GameSpot in particular loves to pull that trick, if they're even still around despite a horrible website and horrible writing.
I don't see slightly off-topic posts as a bother, as long as they're kept short.LeoAmes said:Edit: My apologies, kind of been thinking of this as a generic Nintendo thread when it's actually dedicated to Wii U discussion.
I had a dim opinion on the Wii U a year ago. And I still don't understand the tablet controller. But in Summer of 2014, I see a Mario game, Pikmin 3, Lego miami vice, DK arctic tundra, and Mario Kart 8. This looks like a lineup that could occupy me for a year or two; maybe rope my wife into some console gaming again. And be a nice break after a couple years of sturm und drang gaming of Fallout, Bioshock, and Alan Wake.Morgan Jolley said:The Wii U probably has more exclusive games already out and coming in the next year that I want to play than the entirety of the Xbox 360's lifespan. It's a great deal.
RalliSport Challenge 2 is an essential original Xbox game, IMO.LeoAmes said:I loved it when PGR and RalliSport Challenge (Done by DICE before EA grabbed them and put them full time on Battlefield) were Microsoft's premier racers in the early Xbox days.
I got Wii Sports, Okami, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Skyward Sword when I got my U.LeoAmes said:Did you own a Wii? If not, when you make the jump someday, don't forget about backwards compatibility mode and releases like the two Super Mario Galaxy titles.
