Andrew_Sch received the 3 point bonus as the only one who identified the anomaly, which is that Daniel Day-Lewis is in the shot twice, even though he had the wrong movie. Andrew, you just watched A Room with a View.

I'm surprised. All but one people identified Gosford Park but fewer than half of them got The Importance of Being Earnest, even though the lovely, captivating Reese Witherspoon is easy to see and she's not in Gosford Park. It's not like she's done a lot of period pieces.

My guess for the anomaly was De Niro's head on someone elses body. :b

So who is that in the Gosford Park scene playing the piano?

Looks like I won't even be getting my typical 1 point in round 4. :D

I believe that is Jeremy Northam playing the piano, flanked by Bob Balaban and the Goddess of Witherspoon.

As yet, nobody has gotten more than the main image right. Of course, no word from Harry Angel yet. :p)

I think Harry Angel might only know the main shot :frowning:

But I'm holding off on submitting my guess until tomorrow...maybe something will come to me.

Bill, I hope you don't take the "Harry Angel" thing wrong. It doesn't seem like you are. Just a little cinema humor...... :D

Dome, honestly, it never actually occurred to me that people would get negative points, but I knew I had to have a penalty for a wrong guess to prevent people from just listing about 30 movies for each image.

I figured this one might be pretty difficult beyond the main movie. In fact, I'm pretty sure that is the only one in the image I have ever even seen mentioned on HTF.

It's Daniel Day-Lewis standing in front of the mantle, between Jeremy Northam and Reese, in place of the guy who is there in the original. See why I realized nobody would ever recognize that? That's why I put the second shot of DDL in.

BTW, though it's hardly perfect, I really enjoy A Room With A View. Julian Sands is absolutely horrible in it and Helena Bonham Carter is barely passable, but I think it is still the best performance of Daniel Day-Lewis' career and Denholm Elliott is almost fall on the floor hilarious as well. I'll take DDL's Cecil Vyse in this over a Bill The Butcher any day of the week.

Wow, I see now... no way would I have noticed that without you telling me. It's fairly far back in the frame, and only his arm gives it away.

You're doing this all in Photoshop? I must say I'm impressed... this is some very very good image doctoring :)

Don't get me wrong, some will be easy to spot. I do have one I am particularly proud of coming up, though. I am considering posting it on Friday so it can stay current for the weekend.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Doing this well is not about being "good on a computer" as I hear so often. The computer is just a hammer. What I mean is, it's just a piece of equipment. My entire life has involved images and visual perception. That is the real key. Understanding how people see things.

End of self praise.......:p)

Well there's nothing in the current shot that jogs my memory.

Looks like I'll sit out this round.

I'm especially proud of this one.

BTW, I decided to put up a particularly fun and easy one tomorrow. You've all had a tough week and you've earned it.
