Just wondering for those of us that know Drea from the Sopranos, was it just me or did her "rack" look like she really did go up 3 cup sizes? They were nice enough but to me they really did look bigger... :emoji_thumbsup: Oh, I though the rest of the show was ok, nothing stellar, really.

I liked it, & I'm one who never got into Friends (didn't hate it, just didn't see what the big deal was, much like Seinfeld).

There is a lot of potential for behind-the-scenes Hollywood stuff, which is probably why I liked it. I also thought the promos were some of the best I've ever seen for a new show (Joey driving on the left, etc.).

I also thought how could the nephew not figure out that big fact that was revealed.

I've been a "Friends" hater for a while now, and yet I watched this with the folks for some odd reason. Strangely enough, it wasn't half-bad. It was a little edgier than "Friends" (teenage pregnancy, jokes about Joey groping his sister's tits, a teensy bot of real emotion about leaving NY), but nothing that really made me want to watch next week. I'd assumed it wasn't in HD, so maybe I'll give Drea and the twins another try just for that. But come November, it'll be going up against both "Survivor" and "The O.C." which will both give it a run for it's money, especially in the coveted younger audiences. If it expands beyond just Joey, I think it'll have a good chance to make it to next year. I don't know if I'd keep it on Thursday nights, though.

I just finished watching Ashley Scott's performance in the original pilot and thought she did a pretty good job. I can't really tell why they dumped her.

I thought Ashley was hotter and didn't really see the point in axing her. OTOH, she didn't strike me as a believable coprorate attorney.

I didn't think the chemistry was there between Ashley Scott and Matt LeBlanc. Then again, I don't think Ashley has that charisma factor that establishes good rapport with a live studio audience. I thought Andrea Anders was a more suitable choice.

When I saw the leaked pilot I was surpised at how funny it was. I liked that it was a bit more edgy. In fact I found it a whole lot funnier than the recent episodes of Friends and I am a huge Friends fan.

When I saw the real pilot I found it funny, but not quite as hilarious as the leaked pilot. I compared the two and noticed that Ashley Scott was much better at delivering the lines and much funnier than Andreas im my opinion. Also, I thought they replaced Ashley Scott because her character didn't work especially since she was married. However, Andreas plays the exact same part, has almost the same lines, and is still a hot married neighbour. Why they replaced Scott is beyond me.

I know when The OC starts up I will leave this show for good, since I can still Tivo it, but with Survivor and The OC together, Jooey may be in trouble.

I see NBC ditching the Comedy at 8pm here next year and going in antoher direction.

Joey may live on, but probably on another night, as it surely did not stink up the place. It worked for Frasier

It's not just you, I was unimpressed the entire time. The :rolleyes:factor was through the roof for me and Joey was the only "Friend" I was ever able to stomach. Even my girlfriend, who would watch 2 hours of Friends a day if she could, thought the show was pretty bad.

I'd like to see NBC drop the Must see TV comedy stuff all together for Thurs. and go a different route also. They haven't produced a good sitcom in years as far as I'm concerned, then again, no one else has either. But I am very hard on my comedy and pretty picky, dicerning, overly critical, or whatever you want to call it so it takes a bit to impress me when it comes to comedy.

Almost everyone I know likes that show a lot but I can't stand it for a couple of reason that are for another thread. But I will say it is the best of the sitcoms on right now. The older ones have worn out their welcome with me and the new ones are just horrible IMO.

I thought tonight was pretty funny.

Gina: "I'm a good wing man, remember when I hooked you up with cousin Marie?"
Joey: "Yeah, do you know how many hale Marys I had to say because of that?"

Gina: "Oh that must be a pretty involved course. How you doin, how you doin, how you doin."
Joey: "It worked on all of your friends."

Gina: "There are a lot of pretty girls here, accept her. She's a tramp."
Joey: "That's a mirror Gina!"

Joey: "Bring her a slice and some porn."
Gina: "Joey, that's disgusting."
Joey: "It worked on all of your friends."

Darn it, I missed the first ten minutes again!

Think of all the things I'm missing out on. There's set up, but most importantly, does this show have opening titles? A theme song?

Here's what IMDB said about the song.

I don't know if it is as memorable as the Friends song, I don't think its terrible or anything but I'm still trying to figure out some of the words.
