Sony has nothing to do with the catalog Bond titles. Fox is the distributor for MGM. It's probably gonna be a very long painful wait for the rest of the Bond titles given this development. Not to mention the rest of their vast catalog.
Unfortunate though I suppose if it's got to happen I hope MGM dies a quick death. Their back catalog will be bought by another studio and future productions like the next Bond and The Hobbit will for sure get delayed but another studio will pick up the rights and continue on especially with Bond.

You probably already saw the news at commanderbond.net. A November release date for the 10 disc set of the currently available titles. The same box set that was at Costco earlier.
So still nothing new.
