iTunes trouble, can't delete stuff in the download Q (1 Viewer)

So the other day I tried to download a free episode of 10 things I hate about You.
But for some reason it now wants to dl'd all 10 episodes, twice.
It keeps trying to get all the sd and the hd eps for 20 total.
When I delete them from the q they do not actually get removed.

I click the available dl's and it starts all over again.

How do I get these 20 episodes out of my itunes permanently?

I had the same problem. Let them all download then delete the SD versions. It's dumb but iTunes treats them as a necessary dual download, assuming (wrongly probably) that you may have SD devices that you will want to watch these files off of, say an iPod classic or Nano, and since you bought them you are entitled to both versions. I believe Apple will find a smarter way around this in the future but it's how you deal with it now for all iTunes HD media, not just 10tihay.

Before you delete an item, make sure you can download it again. If you can't or need to pay to download it again, back up the item before you delete it.


After you delete an item, it might still be visible if you can download it again from iTunes in the Cloud. The Download

icon will appear next to these items.
