Huh. That's funny...becasuse I bought my DVD Rewinder from a guy in a white van, too...and I couldn't be happier. It does exactly what was promised...and was a great deal!
The guy said something about getting one too many in a shipment...
Hmmmm... it seems to work nicely with DVD-ROMs carrying PC programs, but those with Mac programs seem a little wonky. Anyone have any links to any nifty shareware that'll make this great gadget fully Mac compatible?
Someone told me that if you throw a DVD like a frisbee and get the spin just right it actually rewinds the disc. I haven't tried it myself so can't vouch for it.
Reading through this thread, the problem with using a vacuum cleaner, even a Dyson, to pick up the bits is that while they will hold the wider 0s, the 1s are so thin they will go right through the bags and filters. And have you ever gotten a 1 stuck in your foot accidentally? They are sharp and painful and nearly impossible to remove with even the best tweezers.

Have any of you ever tried to rewind a VCD with one of these? If not, try it and come back to share your experiences.
(**just a warning, Use an old disc with information thats not important!! Dont expect to retreive data off of the CD again!!**)
Oh, and a Quick question.
Does anyone know where to get the adapters to properly rewind the mini Dvds? Although I can do it by hand in just under 3 hours, I could be doing something else.
