yeah, I figured that, but I dont think my pioneer amp performs anywhere near its "rated" 100watts and from what reviews I've red I think the audiosource will be able to take some load off of my receiver as well as be able to handle loads down to 2 ohms whicH I'm sure this receiver cant handle. I think this amp will reduce some distortion as well and maybe get a cleaner sound out of these polks (RTi38s until i get new ones).

PS so would radioshack RCA cables be good enough to connect the receiver to the amp?
