Why do so many people seem to equate 'biological imperative to improve the species by finding the best looking mate, which plays a big factor in attraction, but, being human, we can get past' with 'superficial?'

Yep...for a short time, what a month? It's not like she gets to do this every month for the rest of her life.

And I'm not suggesting people feel sorry for Melana, she signed up for a show that knowningly would exploit her. But I think the attacks against her are unwarrented given the circumstances.

I found it hypocrytical in that she couldn't get over how "pretty" Jason was. She just kept telling him that. (As a previous poster had alluded to)

And how is this hypocritical? I don't recall her ever saying looks didn't matter.

As some one else mentioned, it wasn't a personal attack on you, but directed at the specific comment. Calling a person who simply kissed several different men on a set of reality show dates (and certainly not the first person to do this) a "whore" (several times) is overly strong, harsh, unwarranted and, yes, hateful.

Back to the show though...Does anyone know further details on whether the couple are still together at all and whether being apart for several months was self-imposed or mandated by the show?

THINK THE VIEWERS WERE the one's that got F'd over. This show was not about average looking people it was about a FREAK show

Are you kidding? It was a Trainwreck! Most reality shows are.

And everyone *loves* to watch a trainwreck!
