Well, this is only an experiment in the USHL, Carlo, so not many people will be watching it this year. It is an intriguing possibility for the NHL, though, as the league has struggled with ways to increase scoring.

I like the elimination of the two line offside, too. In fact, I was an advocate for changing that rule many years before it actually happened. Now, if the league would only listen to me about their damn loser point!

If the justification is to increase scoring (which I didn't think was a problem) then this is certainly going to accomplish that goal.

Canadiens beat Bruins 3-2. A bunch of young Habs who will not be with the team to start the season beat a bunch of young Bruins who will not be with the team to start the season. This is clearly a huge win for Montreal!
