You think an XBox 480p DVD playback hack is in the works? (1 Viewer)

I noticed that Stacey, who worked on XBox DVD development (great job btw), mentioned 480p was pulled at the last minute. A change of that magnitude must have called for a quick fix. Perhaps a switch of some sort?
The sad thing is the guys who are up for these kinds of hacks probably couldn't give a flying .... about DVD 480p playback. Nevertheless, I'm sure some geeky av guy is up to it Let's hope so.

I'm sure that hack is right around the corner. Seems like a simple thing to do and there are already a lot of hackers fiddling with the Xbox with the tools and talent to make it work.

Seems they are even rather close to a hack that will allow endusers to upgrade to a faster harddrive. Niiice.
