Yamaha RXV-440 enough to drive my speakers? (1 Viewer)

I have a pair of boston vr-950's. Power handling is 15-150 watts. My yamaha reciever is rated 75X6, im guessing thats more like 40X6 dynamically. Am I ok here? Or should I really look into getting something like the Yamaha RXV-1400 or 2400.

Because if I do upgrade it will be for my b-day, and I would rather buy a sub with that money.

If you're happy with your current receiver, a sub should make a much bigger difference in your movie-watching experience than a new receiver.
