09:09:29 Ok, regarding the Spotify issue... Once someone has connected their Spotify account to your receiver, they can push music to it and control the volume remotely

09:10:09 Here is the procedure:

09:10:10 1) Turn the receiver off
2) On the front panel, press and hold the 'STRAIGHT' button. While holding the button, click the main power key, then release 'STRAIGHT'
3) Press the 'PROGRAM' L/R key until "INITIALIZE-CANCEL" is displayed. Press 'STRAIGHT' until "CANCEL" changes to "ALL"
4) Press the power button twice.

09:11:01 For the video issue while changing channels, that is probably caused by a change in video resolution when you go from channel to channel

09:11:28 Go into the video settings of your cable box, and see if you can fix the output resolution to 1080p so it stays consistent.

09:12:13 yes but my other 3 AVR's Sony, and 2 Onkyos dont take no more than 2 seconds to pick up the picture. i dont think it is logical to say it should take 6-8 seconds

What do yall think the video issue is? What about the spotify issue? Nobody but ME knows the passkey to the WIFI. Not even my wife much less my teens and kids. Is it that easy to connect to someones AVR? Advice? Thx.

Video issue is normal. Been normal since the advent of 720P/1080i/P.

One of my Onkyo takes 2-3 seconds. Another takes less than 10 seconds. Fix the output on your STB if this is an issue for you. Also set the AVR as "through"(straight??) so it doesn't do anything to the video stream. Cause if you set the AVR to output 1080P and the resolution changes you get...

STB to AVR and TV, "new resolution coming".

AVR and TV, "check".

AVR goes, "I'm changing it to 1080P"

STB and TV, "check".

TV goes, "got 1080P from 720P".

STB and AVR, "check".

STB, AVR and TV, "everybody on the same page? Check, display picture".

Yes...that can take a few seconds.

On Spotify. Known issue on the Spotify support page for Onkyo, Denon/Marantz and Yamaha. Factory reset your AVR.

Shan please elaborate on the known spotify issue? What do you mean.......im not being hacked from the alley or street outside? thx.
