I need some info here so I can make an informed decision..
As I seem to be accumulating more non-R0/1 dvd's lately which I just view on my pc, I would like to direct the video to TV instead of watching hunched over a 17" computer monitor. My Panny RP91 is obviously R1, my dvdrom is region free, and I'm not really in the mood to buy a separate region-free NTSC/PAL player for the HT as I have enough components there as is.
My confusion is the display of PAL dvd video from the pc to my NTSC tv... will it work?? w/o stuttering video?? It sounds like Sigma's Xcard will display pal source on ntsc. I'd rather get the Radeon 7500 AIW however, due to its good reviews in dvd playback, neat video features, and I could use a new display board to replace my old TNT anyways.
Right now i would be going via Svideo to a Sony tube, but would like to pick up a 16:9 rptv next year.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!!
