Okay, so current vehicles NOT compatible. BOO!

Apple Car updates looked good, except: will be released “late next year” — and that demo was all about gas cars — they could have thrown in an EV version but they didn’t.

And they still haven’t reached an agreement (if they ever do) with Tesla for it to work there

The Apple Carplay updates look incredible. However, as was noted, not compatible with any current vehicles. That integration will come on future models through partnered companies.

I'm bummed at no M2 or upgraded M1 Mini.

Of course, Minis tend to come out in the Fall.

• Family Photo Library! This is huge for me!
• Multi-stop route planning in Maps: *finally* and very welcome
• Messagers: edits and delete are welcome improvements but what it needs is useable conversation updates and better tap-back options
• Mail: Mail dev team unfrozen from their 10-year cryo sleep and got back to work. Nice.
• CarPlay: Nice, but <sigh> I now have to wait another five years to buy a new car to get these features.
• Shared Tab Groups: could be handy feature for vacation planning and sharing links with my wife
• Passkeys: but like CarPlay I’m skeptical this will be actually useful for a few years.
• WEATHER ON IPAD!!!
• Desktop Class apps on iPad
• Stage Manager for iPad, he notes with uncertain optimism…

Boo!

• No 27” iMac
• Fitness: Still no rest days or acknowledgement of being sick
• Payment Plans: Don’t like seeing Apple furthering into predatory financial products

Interesting but don’t matter to me:

• M2 Macbook Air
• Fitness on iOS
• Gaming & Metal: I don’t game on Mac and Apple Arcade turns out to be weak sauce
• Camera Continuity: simply because I bet this won’t work on my Intel iMac
