This is a long shot, but you never know 'til you ask.

I first started getting interested in hifi back in the 80's. There were many a speaker I can remember drooling over that, as a teenager, were way out of reach. Anyway, for old times sake, I've been dabbling in some 80's vintage speakers as of late.

The other week I picked up a pair of pristine Canton Quinto 540s from a local fellow. Original owner to boot. The only problem is one of the midrange domes is a little grainy sounding at times. Normally, it is not noticeable, but there are certain times, mainly on keyboard & piano notes, that it is pretty obvious. Overall they sound very nice given their age & have currently taken up residence in the bedroom system.

I contacted Canton, & the bad news is that replacements are not available. The good news is, I can ship the driver to Germany & have it rebuilt, for $150, yikes! So here I am in search of a replacement. There are three models that used the same midrange:

Quinto 540
Karat 300
Fonum 600

So what are the odds someone out there can help me out?
