Weird buzz coming from tv (1 Viewer)

I have a Hitachi 57uwx20b rear projection tv and I have noticed lately that it seems to have a faint but high pitched buzz or squealing sound. It only happens when it is turned on(makes sense). Is this a problem with the tv or could it be my surge protector?

Most likely the TV set, but to be sure why not disconnect the tv from the surge protector and plug it straight into the AC outlet?
