Hello All,

I was wondering if using a second receiver to power my surround speakers is good choice. It will be a while before i can afford an external amp. My main receiver is a sony v-555es that is pulling full duty for all channels. I also have a sony db-840 that was my former receiver that has been boxed up in my closet and am trying to find a use for. Would there be a problem in using the db840 to power my surrounds and using the 555es to power the mains and center? Have any of you tried this? If this is feasable, how would i hook everything up? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Why would you want to, assuming the receiver you're currently using is working fine?
