OK...so I am looking for info on several specific things and hope the higly cultured and refined can help me:)

First...looking for a compilation of tunes or cds that are great background to ..um...intimate ecounters. Individual titles/songs or complete albums would be appreciated. What's great music to make love to?

Second...I am not a fan of porn...however...would like to find well choreographed erotic movies that feature exotic music and minus all the 'sounds.' I have seen Island Fever and Zazel...along that line...but other ideas also welcome.

Third...specifically would like to know of any good movie titles or cds in this theme that feature erotic gothic and more dark themes of mysticism, etc.

Finally...miscellany...would like to know of some good sites that have great information about eroticism, accessories, erotic literature, education, etc.

Okay...thanks for your help folks!

you might want to google search under erotic and songs. Apart from that, maybe Enigma.

Roxy Music's 'Avalon' - Hand's down the most romantic, yet mystical and soulful album ever. My sister was the biggest prude in the world, yet the moment I saw this album in her collection (she would normally never be a Roxy Music fan), I realized someone finally got to her.:D Any time I used this "weapon of mass seduction", I was into the good stuff by the time "More Than This" came on.

Note: "More Than This" is track #2 and track #1 is an instrumental.:emoji_thumbsup:

Is the instrumental not listed? Amazon shows "More Than This" as track #1.

The title is "India" and it is not listed first on most track listings; why I do not know. Rest assured, instrumentals ("India" and "Tara") lead off and finish the original album (the remastered version has a bonus track last IIRC).

It was "And five, now this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV." Great advice, but Rat was so nervous he put on "Kashmir" off "Physical Graffiti" by mistake. :)

Anything by BARRY WHITE or ISAAC HAYES (well, maybe not the SHAFT soundtrack)

Also, STEVIE WONDER'S albums from the 70s are pretty good. A woman I was with would get all weak in the knees when "All's Fair in Love and War" came on.

Any of the bossa nova albums by STAN GETZ (GETZ/GILBERTO is a good choice). Also, any album by JOAO GILBERTO, ASTRUD GILBERTO, or the WB albums of ANTONIO CARLOS JOBIM.

"Night Trips" DVD is very classy in "that" realm of movies.

Just put Ravel's Bolero on auto-repeat and keep popping those pills.

I know a lot of women who love anything by Sarah McLachlan or Dido. It's quiet, good background music with a lot of feeling and emotion, and it seems to help relax the ladies. Led Zeppelin might be good if she's a aggressive, but if you're looking for "making love," you can't go wrong with those two.

(Oh, and just so you don't think I have anything against the Zep, they're great. I prefer Houses of the Holy to IV though).

as already mentioned, enigma is all you need. if you can't score with enigma in the background, then somethin' just ain't right. specifically, their first album: MCMXC A.D.

bolero is also pretty good, but i just ain't patient enough for it. ;)

"weapon of mass seduction" ... jeff, you're killin' me ...

This is a great album, but part of me can't help but think of the Silence of the Lambs when I listen to it. I think it's an album Buffalo Bill would be playing in his basement as he's sewing and dancing in front of the mirror.

Thanks everyone; got some good things to start with here, and will see from there hehe. Still looking for erotic gothic films, but contacting on line retailers directly may also yield some results if no one here has some good info there? Cheers, folks..thanks again
