Notorious beach-and-babes TV series “Baywatch” is finally headed for DVD. A late-summer “best of” set, with episodes personally chosen by star Pamela Anderson, will be the initial release, followed by a succession of “complete season” sets. The DVD rights to the original series were obtained by First Look Studios CEO Henry Winterstern in partnership with Anderson, who played buxom lifeguard C.J. Parker from 1992 until 1997 and has become one of the show’s most enduring symbols. Rights to nine seasons were licensed from Fremantle Media, which also owns “American Idol,” according to Winterstern.

actually, the first season of Baywatch with Parker Stevenson, Billy Warlock and Erika Eleniak wasn't THAT bad and could be worth checking out if ever it comes out on DVD, but it got BAD when it went into syndication.

I would consider getting the first season that aired on NBC before the show went completely bad.
