Well, that was anti-climactic.

Why was it anti-climactic? I thought it was a pretty good finish to a good tourney, though of course not the winner I would have selected.

Well, we started with a lot of 10-5 type votes, and by the end it was down to just five. Also, the idea behind the tournament was that there would be almost no abstentions.

I think one of the reasons that there were a lot of abstains was due to the inclusion of titles, such as The Bride Wore Black, that were available at one time on DVD and are now out of print. If the tournament had relied upon films that had never been released on DVD, or perhaps even more stringently never on home video, there would have been less abstains. But of course, that is hindsight. Sort of an ehh result, but thanks for running the tournament, regardless.
