I just finished watching STILL. It is a great documentary about Michael J. Fox. Obviously, it hits the highlights of his career like Family Ties, Back to the Future, Spin City and more that you would expect. But rather than being terribly concerned about the making of the projects, It is really focused on him personally. It is about his life and how those shows and movies changed his life. And of course it is about his Parkinson's disease and how it impacts his life on a day-to-day basis.

Most people who hang out around here probably already know the story of how Fox shot Family Ties and Back to the Future at the same time. His diagnosis with Parkinson's has been public knowledge for several years now. Just on a factual basis, the broad strokes aren't new. But it is really well presented. The reason the movie is so good is because hearing it directly from MJF himself is really intimate and personal. There's a section of the film where he talks about being afraid that people will find out about his diagnosis, and that couldn't be any more different from his attitude in the current interview that makes up the core of this film. He is very open, and there is something about seeing his story presented in this way that is visceral and emotional.

If you have access to Apple TV+, I highly recommend this. If you don't, it might be worth getting a free trial just to check this out. It is excellent.
