John, my best guess is this is just a re-release in new packaging.

Paramount is doing a lot of that lately with many of their titles.

We won't know how the packaging will differ until an actual photo appears on Amazon.

For those that don’t know, the TNG Blu-rays are just stunning. An immense upgrade over DVD.

If I remember correctly, the last two seasons look the best of the entire series. I think they used a different authoring house or something like that. I was just amazed at how much better the PQ was.
