Do we know what "extended" entails? Are we talking about Lord of the Rings-extended, or Narnia-extended?

this is the elusive 10 second longer edition that we have been expecting for over a year?

You took the words right out of my mouth. Shameless PR move to start the hype for #3.

It came out that Sam Raimi was shooting new material long before the first DVD was released, so way back then I decided to wait for the extended edition. That turned out to be a much longer wait than I expected, and it's kind of funny that I don't own a copy of Spider-Man 2 considering how much I love the movie, but I guess I'll probably buy this release... or at least compare it to the existing DVD and decide from there.

The best bet would be to watch it on FX and see if it's worth owning, and then only get it if it's HD (I haven't been to the link for details).

I guess this explains why the DVD is suddenly dirt cheap everywhere.
