Road House is the Patrick Swayze film right, and not the Ida Lupino -Cornel Wilde film noir classic, right?

Wasn't Fiddler on the Roof already remastered this year, for the second time?

I suspect they're all repackages of previously released titles which MGM tends to do.

I am happy about the Bob Hope set which features 4 new to DVD titles plus 3 previously released ones but I wonder if Princess And The Pirate will be remastered since the original release had many complaints about the transfer quality.

The Bob Hope Alias Jesse James was also edited (one or more of the cameos), if I remember right.

As I saw this list I thought to myself, I know there are going to be some films on here that weren't originally United Artists, and sure enough, there are two....

WOMAN IN THE WINDOW (An International Pictures production originally released by RKO)

MOBY DICK (A Moulin Production originally released by Warner Bros.)

Nowhere do you find KISS ME DEADLY or SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS or LILLIES OF THE FIELD or TOM JONES...but you do get that paragon of cinema that represents United Artists at its zenith (!)

DANCE WITH ME, HENRY

I wonder if the person that made this list has even watched the films....

You also gotta love 'em for putting DANCE WITH ME, HENRY in there, the notoriously awful final teaming of Abbott & Costello. At that rate, how could they have left out the majestic Patty Duke masterpiece BILLIE?

Same thing here - really happy about this! :)

If Bob Hope sells well, I hope they think of Danny Kaye next!!!!!!!!!

As a Bob Hope completist, I miss CALL ME BWANA and I would "happily" buy the otherwise dire EIGHT ON THE LAM. Hope they do bring out the Danny Kayes and the Eddie Cantors (included the aborted KID MILLIONS).

Re the cameos in ALIAS JESSE JAMES: Although James Garner vis listed by imdb, I don't recall seeing him on the VHS or in any television showings. Garner was huge at the time, and I suspect that WB might have pulled the plug on his participation.

Will 'Alias Jesse James' not be released on it's own?

I've never seen any of the other Bob Hope films and I'm not sure how big a fan I am of his movies and whether I want to buy the whole box set... but I'd like to own this title.

Sadly ...I bet none of the older films reissued will be new masters or anamorphic...such as BIRDMAN OF ALCATRAZ, TOPKAPI, ELMER GANTRY.
Great films desreve more than being recycled from a old transfer.

I will go so far as to guarantee that.

I mean it's pretty obvious given the context of all of this. Hopefully the reasoning behind these releases is to unload the older copies to make way for new transfers of these films.

Will the Hope titles be sold separately as well? I'm only interested in The Facts of Life and Boy, Did I Get A Wrong Number!
