Ron, thanks a lot for the link!

I'd appreciate an affiliate link for season 1 as well, so that I can use it and maybe help out there as well.

I don't see a Season One listed on Amazon

Looking closer at the product, this looks to be a complete set. I am going to update the thread title.

I have the BBC Region 2 DVD version of this set. It's shot on videotape in the late 60's, so I doubt it will be a big improvement on Blu-ray. The episodes are good and follow the stories well. Peter Cushing is excellent as Holmes, playing it in an authentic manner the way Jeremy Brett later did. It's too bad only 6 stories remain.

This is actually the second season of the series. The first season (in black & white) featured Douglas Wilmer as Holmes and Nigel Stock as Watson. The second season retained Nigel Stock, but Wilmer was unavailable, so Cushing was signed. The Wilmer season is also on DVD in a 2 flipper-disc set and contains more episodes than the Cushing set.

The extant Holmes episodes were already released by Severin as part of the Cushing Rarities box. A highly recommended box set.

Very little British TV survives on VT (let alone color vt as this was produced for BBC2 originally) from the 1960s so be happy with what you have.
