I hope Shout remastered this. The master used for their existing Blu-ray shows a ton of wear and damage.

I suspect a ton of people are going to want to watch this after Tarantino's upcoming film, if rumors are to be believed. His book includes a fun chapter on it.

I'd have bought it if it was the Bob Dylan concert. But of course, what the world needs more is another violent thriller.

I thought commissioning fresh scans were a basic requirement of upgrading previously released titles on a superior format? It wouldn't be a good look for Shout to deceive customers by simply slapping an old scan onto a 4K disc and charge the thirty-five bucks for it. They'd never hear the end of it.

Adjusting to his old life isn’t going to be easy for Rane. His wife Janet has fallen in love with another man, and his son doesn’t remember him. The publicity he receives as a returning hero has attracted the attention of a group of hoodlums. When the group kills Rane’s wife and son and leaves him for dead, he and Vohden team up to hunt them down.

^ The way that is worded makes it seem like only the Blu-ray will feature the new 4K scan but I know that would be ridiculous so it's all good :)

I'm looking forward to this upgrade. It stands out among Shout's fairly weak slate the next few months.
