Yeah. I’ve never seen the Uncut Scream, but I HAVE seen the first Friday the 13th uncut, and even before I saw it uncut, some of the cut aways in the R rated version felt VERY abrupt and awkward. I appreciate the uncut version just as much if not more for the more smooth transitional editing than for the gore, which perhaps only adds a total of 20 seconds or so to the movie, if I had to guess.
