Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Warner Bros. had a great weekend globally with Will Smith in 'Focus' taking the top spot in the worldwide derby with $27.7 million, 'Jupiter Ascending' leading the charge in the international arena with $25.3 million and their 'American Sniper' crossing the $500 million milestone in global box office. Notably, Sony's sci-fi entry 'Chappie' opened in the second spot worldwide this weekend with $27.0 million."

Yeah, that's pretty awful. I remember it seemed bad when Stallone's "Driven" won its opening weekend with $12 million - and that was 14 years ago! Clearly $12m in 2001 = a lot more than $13m in 2015...
