Just curious if any of you have tried this. The only reason I even bring it up is I would like to have a copy of some of the discs that I buy on DVD-Audio for my car without having to buy a whole different cd.

I know that recording the 5.1 audio track is impossible (or is supposed to be). I was able to burn a cd from a DVD-Audio disc but only as an analog stereo track. Is that the best that can be done?

And it sounds dandy. :)

Actually I've gone digital out while playing the stereo tracks on a couple discs and that has worked great for me. The stereo PCM out is converted to 48/16 which is compatible with the sample rate converter on any CD-R machine (My MiniDisc machine Sample Rate Converter had no problem).
