Question for Hitachi 46F500 Owners (1 Viewer)

Did you purchase the matching TV stand (SP46W)? The literature for the TV states that it is approx. 40" high. That would put it at just below eye level while seated. If you add the stand (approx. 13" high), that would put the total height at about 4 1/2' at it's highest point. That is about the same height as my 27" TV in my entertainment center, which is at a comfortable veiwing angle. I am going to purchase this TV in the next 3 weeks and think that it will be too high from a seated position in my living room, especially with the center channel on top. Also, placing the center channel underneath the TV is not an option.

Any opinions?
