I notice that Pioneer provides an Audio Scaler in the VSX-4x receivers. This feature is supposed to upsample/interpolate digital streams (I assume that includes 16bit/44.1KHz CD streams) to 24bit/96KHz. Has anyone tried this feature? Is there any noticable difference in sound quality when listening to CDs?

asked this question?
Let me ask you guys with the 45tx, can you tell a difference between the hi-bit upsampling on or off. Does it sound better with it on, or can you not tell the difference and you thinks it's just marketing hype. It just sounds like a marketing tactic to me but I haven't heard it so I wouldn't know.

hope this helps
