Just watched him the other night in the new 4K for The Last Emperor and loved him when I went to see Mr. Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, another of my favorite films. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Ryuichi Sakamoto: Music for Film is an excellent sampler. My favorite is The Sheltering Sky.

Aside from the magnificent BGM by YMO, as well as thier other stuff, and Heartbeat and Beauty under his own name, he did numerous collaborations, all good, including Iggy Pop and Thomas Dolby.

And the music, and acting, in Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence is astounding.

And today, finally, I received the CD of 12, his final album. And what a goodbye. Almost like Blackstar. Magnificent, but understated, just like him.
