I am looking for my first NEW TV is six years.
The set will be going in a 28' x 23' room centered along the 23' wall between two standard sized windows.
Primary usage will be:
Digital cable but not HD cable(Comcast does not offer it yet in my area)
VHS (kids tapes)
Progressive Scan DVD Player
Xbox
Looking for the following:
55" to 61" 16:9 HDTV/HDTV Ready
Split screen with the sub-panel being able to show the HD1/HD2 input (Xbox mainly so I can game a little not a lot a little while watching/viewing some TV)
Models I have looked at:
Toshiba 57HDX82 - manual says HD1/HD2 inputs are not viewable in split screen (Link Removed)
Hitachi 57SWX20B
Sharp 61RWP4H (1999.99 at costco.com) - no dvi
RCA P61310 (1975 at 6th ave in NJ) includes built in Satellite and HDTV receiver but no DVI
Samsung no model # - they seems to be one of the few makes that have a dedicated 480i/480p input and then a separate 1080i input - problem is what does it do with 720p Xbox games and since the Xbox dash is 480 will I have to change the input all the time between viewing the xbox dash and games?
Thanks for any input you all can provide!
Randy,
Lost in NJ but looking for a turnpike/parkway sign
