Need to replace 36" proscan (1 Viewer)

My 36" tv just died. I need another 36 inch. While I would like a bigger one, the wife doesn't. This will be used for playstation, dvds and analogue cable. Movies on dvd, due to work and reality, won't be much more than 25% of the time. The rest is, sigh, network and playstation for the kids. What is good out there for up to $1k? Thanks in advance.

I would recommend the Samsung 32" EDTV. Yes, it's smaller but you get to watch dvd's and some games in progressive scan and you have a widescreen option on the tv. You can find it for $799 or less. I know Circuit City carries it as well.


If your stuck on getting a 36" for $999 or less your options are limited. If you could spend another $500 I would absolutely recommend you try and find a Sony 36" HS500 or HS510. Both can be found for $1500 if your a good talker. Do you live near Chicago by chance?
