Although the normal programming offered by XM is top notch, it's special events such as this that make an XM subscription such a great deal. Unless you live near one of the concert venues, imagine the cost of attending even one of the concerts, much less all of them. But you can hear it all live on XM, as it happens.

This is obviously a major undertaking, and I commend XM for their efforts to bring the Live8 concerts to its subscribers. Just another example of why I consider XM to be the best use of my entertainment dollar. There should certainly be a lot of enjoyable performances during this event.

It now appears XM will offer even more Live8 coverage than previously indicated. XM will now dedicate seven channels to this event (one for each city)plus an anchor channel that will cut to various performances around the globe, as well as the originally announced Ch 200 and 201 coverage. So it now appears that the COMPLETE concert from each venue will be featured. Of course, the time slots for various concerts may overlap, so you'll have to pick your favorite city. Details can be found here (see Post from Special_Attention, about 9 posts down).

Live8 concert coverage

Enjoy!
