R.I.P. Composer LAURIE JOHNSON. A talented and versatile musician with scores ranging from The Avengers' iconic TV theme to films such as DR. STRANGELOVE, FIRST MEN IN THE MOON, CAPTAIN KRONOS and AND SOON THE DARKNESS.
He also had a successful career as a Big Band and Swing bandleader.

. The Avengers theme is so distinctive, his body of work never suffers from repetition. Never valued as highly as some of his contemporaries, except in the UK, his talent will be missed.
