Chris-

How'd you get Thrill Kill if the game was never released?

(I know how you probably got it, I'm just jealous)

Morgan,

Thrill Kill is very easy to obtain, but trust me you don't want to waste your time or money, it is just beyond terrible. I believe the Thrill Kill engine was used for the Wu-Tang fighting game.

(footnote 1) If Infogrames ever makes a sports line, they'd probably think "RealSports" is too dorky a name for it. And it would compromise their apparent plan to make "Atari" just another brand name that means nothing.
(footnote 2) Sure, it says "One-On-One Basketball" on the box. But we all know what it really is.
(footnote 3) Sadly, the cartridge no longer saves a game. Which is a shame, because I enjoy this more than the 3-D sequel and can't quite justify buying another one from B&C or off ebay.
(footnote 4) I've been playing this for about 15 minutes a day for what seems like months. I just can't get into this sort of game, because it really doesn't seem like a game to me. It's just a simulation, which to me isn't nearly as much fun as an honest-to-goodness game with abstraction and random elements and strategy where it becomes a test of skill.
Which is why the DreamCast is probably the only system I own that was purchased when it was a going concern (and just barely; I got it at the $100 price point); what's the point of getting an Xbox or PS2 when it would probably be basically for sports and the odd updated classic?

You should consider getting the PlayStation version. It saves to a memory card, so you would never have that problem again. (The PS1 version also has more sound effects and better music than the Jaguar version, from what I've heard.)
I realize you don't have a PlayStation, but you should -- the PSone is only $50 now.

Check mine out here.
I'm trying to keep myself from buying any more games before Christmas, and if it wasn't for GTA:VC and Splinter Cell I probably wouldn't make it. The list will have quite a few more Xbox games on it after the holidays one way or another.

I'm thinking he doesn't have a PSX.

The best Rayman version is the Saturn version, really. It has some additional parallax scrolling over the PSX version, slows down much less, and has a few additional graphic nuances.

Cool, I didn't know that. I'll have to look for it. I like Rayman a lot, even though it's way too difficult.
