Someone at Universal needs to update their boilerplate ...
You'd think Universal learned their lesson with their massive train-wreck associated with some of their Double Sided DVD releases of the early to mid '00s (IE. Their Abbott & Costello Franchise volumes, which they eventually reissued on a single sided DVD collection!), but evidently not! I mean OK, the DVDs aren't the main thing in this upcoming Gregory Peck set release, but STILL! :P

CHEERS! :)

And Double Sided DVDs in 2016? REALLY?!!? :P
The use of the term Disc 1 Side A is confusing and certainly implies double sided discs but apparently that's just a Universal press release thing. The Blu Rays also say Side A even though they are not double sided.
In the main description of the DVD's it does say this:
Language: English Disc Type: DVD-9 (Single Sided)

Um these are single-sided DVDs there's no data on the "B" (ie the LABEL) side -
DVD Widescreen Multi-Feature(61181321) : Disc 1 (Side A): To Kill a Mockingbird
DVD Widescreen Multi-Feature(61181321) : Disc 2 (Side A)
DVD Widescreen Multi-Feature(61181321) : Disc 3 (Side A): Cape Fear (1962)

no need to call the RCMP ;)!

Sorry about that dreadful misunderstanding! I should have read the descriptor more thoroughly!

It's a very weak defense, but webpages keep randomly shifting on me today for some unknown reason, and is leaving me rather frustrated at the moment! I can't help but wonder whether the latest Windows 10 update might be the culprit! That's no excuse, but there it is!

I admit when I first saw it... I thought they were flippers as well but when there was no description of the "B" side it call came together :). They may have different label art but I suspect these are all old masters (if anybody buys the set - let us know if the "InterActual" PC program is still included

on the Cape Fear DVD ...expiring minds want to know :D? )

Since when did two films, or two of anything for that matter, make a collection? And no new special features? No sale for me.
Considering Universal has a habit of cheaping out on their catalogue releases, they sure know how to milk them for all they're worth.

I'm pretty sure Cult Media are a 100% pirate label but can't be certain; they definitely do have many pirated releases. I'm betting their Arabesque BD is just a DVD rip. Anyone care to take a chance/waste their money on it to confirm my suspicions?

The UK and Germany frequently release US-made major studio films on legit DVD and BD ahead of the US itself, as does France, to a lesser degree, but Italy and Spain? Never, to my knowledge.

As for this so-called Gregory Peck Centennial Collection: a pathetic, pointless effort from Universal.

Cheers Simon. The lack of Universal logoes is a big red flag. Also, while a couple of notches above the DVD grabs, it's hardly stellar HD. It could well be a 720p TV rip, as per the much-discussed Spanish Ryan's Daughter pirate BD. It also carries several other hallmarks of counterfeits, as listed here, eg it's region free, single-layer, only has lossy audio (including a decidedly dodgy, hitherto unknown 5.1 upmix of the Italian mono dub), etc. It also prioritises the Italian dubs over the original English audio – something I've never seen a legit Universal release do. Lastly, it only carries Italian subs – another surefire giveaway. Universal's region 2/4/B DVD/BD releases tend to use exactly the same masters, with exactly the same sub/dub options.
