LG has announced a limited-time promotion offering a free XBOOM Go speaker (model PL5, at a suggested price of $129) with the purchase of an eligible 2020 LG OLED or NanoCell TV. According to LG, more than 45 TVs are included in the promotion available now through August 2nd, and applies to direct sales from the company’s website or through LG-authorized dealers nationwide.
The XBOOM Go PL5 is Bluetooth surround ready and connects wirelessly to 2020 LG OLED, NanoCell and UHD TVs for adding rear stereo or surround audio to any content. The XBOOM lineup also supports hands-free functionality, voice commands, multi-phone pairing, and control from a mobile device. After downloading the associated Bluetooth app (for Android or iOS), speaker owners can click-manage audio connections, lighting effects, playlists and the inbuilt equalizer.

Mine just landed. Two things i immediately do not like:

they included a usb to usb c cable but no wall charger

it requires an app

why the f would you need an app to control a Bluetooth device? Dumb.
