[C]I am selling a Sherwood Newcastle P-965 Preamp/Processor that is in like new condition. The 2-months new P-965 is finished in beautiful Satin Silver and Black. The P-965 has been taken care of in a smoke, and pet free home and comes with all accessories, box, manuals, Setup Microphone+Preamp, and remote control.[/C]
[C]The P-965 has the most comprehensive list of surround modes such as Hall, 4 Channel Stereo, DTS-ES Discrete, Matrix, DTS-96/24, DTS NEO-6, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, Dolby Virtual Speaker, Dolby Headphone Layers 1, 2, 3. For music listening I use Dolby Pro-Logic IIx Music because it provides a nice expansive front soundstage, along with an engaging rear presence. Those you who like direct 2-Channel will be happy to know that the P-965 has a pure direct mode for listening to Stereo sources. The direct pass through lets the music come through the processor without processing. Dolby Pro-Logic IIx Movie is the surround mode I use for movies since provides extra ambience in the rears, makes the voices more inteligible, and make the bass response of the soundtrack more realistic.[/C]
[C]The P-965 was purchased from an authorized dealer and is still under warranty with proof of purchase receipt.[/C]
