Yeah, but like I said before, the E.R. is hardly your typical office. I don't think they could afford to just fire Romano in the past, but now since his usefulness has been impeded, who knows.............

Regardless of real-world situations, it's a TV show. He would have been fired a while ago, we agree, but in the alternate universe created by the show, what do we think will happen to him?

I see possible termination, leading to nervous breakdown, and then either suicide or Corday saving him.
