Hi,
Just bought an epson EH-LS500B UST projector upgraded from Acer P1502 DLP.
just seeking advice on setting up the picture. The niggle I'm having is the picture
is all good, clear and bright but slightly soft, not blurry but not sharp!
The best descrption is similar to an 4K TV with an 1080 HD source, TV is
trying to fill in the gaps from the lack of data resulting in an slightly soft
picture or image. I realise some people don't mind this.
The source for the Epson, I use sky HD box and PC. I think both refresh rates
are 60Hz. I wanted the upgrade as the epson has an much higher contrast ratio
so a better picture for darker looking parts in movies etc.
I have fiddled with several settings from it's menu including turning of it's
4K enhancement, brightness, contrast, sharpness, white enhancement, focus,
etc. The words on screen seem particularly soft. I am using an Vividstorm
UST 92 " electric floor rising screen. Both sky and pc sources are coming
via an Yamaha AV Receiver RX-2065.
Please can someone help me find correct settings to sharpen up it's picture.
Thank you!
