How should we dispose of our old router/modem ? Is there personal info on there we need to worry about ?

Thanks.
Did you setup your new router with the same credentials as the old one? If so the old one could theoretically be used for unauthorized access to your home network. Regardless, best practice is to perform a factory reset before disposing of it. You can do a web search such as "factory reset your routers brand and model" for the correct procedure to accomplish this. After the reset, you may be able to dispose of it at a local electronics store such as Best Buy or Micro Center.

It shouldn’t. If you look on the back, there might be something that says “reset”. Sometimes it’s a small hole you push with a paper clip when it’s plugged in and on. As John said, look it up.
